How Fairbanks B.E.S.T. Works
The B.E.S.T. program allows you to stay involved in your local school with participation in sports and the ability to take up to two classes in the classroom.
Free Program
Fairbanks B.E.S.T. is a free program offered by Fairbanks North Star Borough School District. Since this is a public program, the same funding used for traditional students can be used for online students; therefore there is no fee for taking online courses for most students.
Everything is Online
It works just like a traditional high school, except everything is online. You can login and access your courses from home, the public library, or anywhere there is a computer and Internet access.
Teacher-Supported Learning
You'll have access to one-on-one instruction from state-certified teachers 24/5 (Sunday 6pm – Friday 5pm) and 24/7 help from our support staff. Teachers communicate with you through phone, email, and instant messaging. Our teachers even have a virtual online whiteboard to visually explain concepts to you.
